Road and Square Lake. Our 8,000 square foot one story facility is surrounded by major shopping areas. Our contemporary 47 station clinic with pedicure stations includes a separate state of the art esthetics area. The Academy is furnished with the latest instructional equipment and class sizes are kept small to ensure an optimum learning environment. |

| ......Transfers & Previous Training ( Troy ) top of page Transfer students and persons having previous training in cosmetology or manicuring training may begin class at Excel Academies of Cosmetology on the next scheduled class start date, space permitting. Transfer students and persons having previous training in the cosmetology, manicuring and esthetics program will be required to take a test consisting of both written and practical. The application will then be sent to the State Board and the hours of previous training credited if approved by the State Board. A $250.00 registration fee will be required and the students may then enroll at a cost of $5.00 an hour for each hour needed to complete the course. Transfer students must also pay the state fee of $15.00 and be required to wear the school uniform and name tag. Equipment from the students previous school may be used. However, if the previous kit is not complete, the the student may be required to purchase additional equipment. Students may also be required to purchase Excel's textbooks. |

Class sizes are restricted to help keep a student/instructor ratio which will insure maximum assistance to each student. Enrollments will be accepted up to one week prior to the class start date, or until the class becomes full, whichever comes first. Therefore, we encourage early registration if you wish to begin with a specific class. A registration fee paid at the time you sign a contract will guarantee you a seat in the upcoming class. |
